For most of us, a new role in life presents a variety of challenges and some surprises, too. Advice from someone who’s already been there can help get us through the rough spots. In the case of university students, who better than seniors to offer the benefit of their experience?
This week, Mohammed Anwr Esaid, a fourth-year Computer Technology and Information Systems student, has some words of wisdom for this year’s freshmen.Q. What advice would you give freshmen about the Bilkent experience?
Work hard during the first two years, as they are the most important and this is the easiest way to maintain a high GPA.
Q. What’s something students should keep in mind throughout their time at Bilkent?
Attending classes will help you a lot when preparing for quizzes and exams, and help you maintain a good relationship with your instructors.
Q. Any tips or tricks to surviving life at Bilkent?
Don’t overreact if you fail a course or get low grades, because getting stressed or depressed over it won’t change your grade. Just look ahead and prepare yourself better for the next quiz, exam or semester.
