“POP-EYED”

You know what the worst thing about being sick is? The fact that your voice changes, ugh! These days everyone seems to be sick, either they’ve got a cold or the flu which is worse. We all try to stay far away from these infected people for the same reason, exams.. but there is also a group of people who go “it’s okay, I never get sick you can drink from my cup”, sad to say those “people” who never get sick (according to themselves) always end up coughing and blowing them noses just like the rest of us sick people.
Now, as I was saying, nobody likes being sick, it’s a major set in every single way. Imagine this, you’ve dressed to impress and then just when you see that person your nose starts running and you have to wipe it, or even worse your in an exam, it’s a hard one and you know that everyone is really concentrating. Just then your nose starts itching, you go, oh no to your-self because you know that if you sneeze the instructor is going to give you that look and everyone else is gonna give you an irritated glance..sigh..just when you think your not gonna sneeze “AAACHHOOO!” yup you’ve done it. Not only did you sneeze so loud that the class next door heard but your nose is also running..running well more like flowing.
Yeah I hate being sick. Once when I was sick I lost my voice, well I didn’t actually lose it, I got a different voice, more manly =) it was horrible! I couldn’t speak to anyone on the phone and when I had to, people didn’t recognize me, my cousin hung up the phone on me and told me not to disturb her. Can you believe it.. I could only tell her it was me after a few days because she kept hanging up ever time I rang..sigh.. That was such a rough week, being sick is one thing but sounding like a man is another, especially when there are some phone calls that must be made. My advice, be careful, everybody gets sick but when you lose your voice in some way everybody who is sick also laughs at you, and unless you don’t want to be the class clown look after your throat. I know I will from now on, I’ve learnt my lesson..
