Review from the weekend Basketball games from İstanbul Koç University and the METU Men’s basketball teams started the Ayva Tournament on Saturday, November 1. The game began with strong offenses for both teams. However METU got control of the game through good defense. Koç University’s weak zone press caused lots of unearned baskets and the difference in score between the teams was 25 after that. The match ended with the score of 56-76 with the victory going to METU. The women’s game ended also with the win going to METU by the score of 48-29. Sunday, November 2, Sabancı and METU both men and women basketball teams, played at Sabancı University. The game started again with man on man defense and this time METU had a more difficult opponent. The first period ended up with a score of Sabancı 16 and METU 13. The second period then started with the strong offense of METU and ended up with the win going to METU by the score of 56-71. The Sabancı-METU women’s game ended by the score of 55-52 with the victory going to the Sabancı team.
