The Bilkent Women's Basketball Team will be moving into the
inter-university First League following their success in last week's Turkish
Inter-University Basketball C Category Tournament. During the tournament, held between
December 12-17, the team defeated Mersin University by a score of 52-45 and Erciyes
University by 44-40. With these wins, our team became the Second League champion, making
it eligible to play in the First League. Coach Seyfi Tasan stated: "We were very well
prepared for our games and were expecting this result. Also, I would like to note that we
need to enlarge the team and are looking for new players."
