Another participant, EE student Ece Dorukhan, noted that interval
training was totally different from other forms of exercise because it combined many
activities in one.
The trainers, as well as the participants, expressed enthusiasm about the program.
"It's an activity that all Bilkenters can enjoy, whether they are athletes or
not," commented Pınar Tansı. Her colleague Bülent Uzunoğlu also noted the high
participation level achieved by the program. "The increasing involvement shows that
this gives people a favorable view of sports and fitness. In other words, we're reaching
our goal."
After losing hundreds of calories, participants rewarded themselves by enjoying the fruit
plates provided as part of the program. They also received Interval Training
t-shirts.
The Interval Training program is coordinated by aerobics/step instructor Filiz Gür. Other
instructors are: Mert Sağlar, Volkan Ersöz, Serhan Gürhan, Pınar Tansı, Bülent Uzunoğlu,
Emre Bağcı, Filiz Öztürk, Hakan Göveli, Fatoş Harmancı, Seda Özsoy and Ahsen Küçükdurmaz.
