Another exhibition has been organized in the Main Campus Library Gallery for art
enthusiasts. The current show features 39 paintings by six artists. Although they come
from different areas and backgrounds, these artists have one thing in common. They are all
"naives"--that is, they have no formal education in art and paint outside of
specific artistic movements. Instead, they paint whatever they want, inspired by what they
see.
This colorful exhibition, open to all Bilkenters, will continue through June 1. Gallery
hours are 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily. In addition, on Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m., FMPA
students are in the gallery, performing on instruments from the piano to the flute.
“A Handful of Naive Painters” offers Bilkenters an excellent opportunity to relax and
get away from the stress of final exams, through viewing a world of colors created by
these naturally talented painters.
