 On
Wednesday, March 29, a total solar eclipse will be visible in some parts
of Turkey. The Bilkent Astronomy Society is organizing a day trip to
Beyşehir National Park to observe the eclipse. The trip is open to all
who are interested.
The Astronomy Society
was established last year by Emir Efe Dengiz, a student in the Physics
Department. Previous activities include a "star party" held in Beynam
Forest. Club members also present seminars and view documentaries about
stars, planets and similar topics.Anyone with an interest in astronomy
is welcome to join the club. Those who would like to go on the upcoming
trip to Beyşehir National Park can write to
