If you're thinking about jobs, Bilkent's annual Career Fair is definitely worth attending. You're not sure? Well, here's a success story from last year's fair!

It all started when Bilkent students (now graduates) Serkan Elmaz (ECON) and Sertaç Güzel (IE) stopped by the Johnson & Johnson booth at the 2005 Career Fair. There, they learned more about the company, and left their CVs with Johnson & Johnson's Human Resources Manager, Bahar Uysal. After the fair, they were invited to take part in the company's candidate selection process.

First, they spent three days with different people being tested on their ability to work as part of a team. After passing this hurdle, they went on to the next phase, in which General Manager Christoph Martin tested their capacity to handle stress. Their success enabled them to reach the job offer phase. Serkan and Sertaç noted that this was not only a personal honor for them, but also proof of the quality of the education they had received at Bilkent University.

After accepting employment at Johnson & Johnson, they were sent to the U.S. for training, and then to an orientation meeting in Dubai. Serkan now works in the company's Eticon Division Department, and Sertaç works in the Eticon Division’s Endosurgery Department in Belgium.

The two former Bilkent students concluded by saying that everyone should attend events like the Bilkent Career Fair. Their own stories certainly show what the results can be in terms of job opportunities for new graduates!
