THE VOICE

QUOTES FROM FAMOUS VOICES

“Imagination is more important than knowledge.”
"A person starts to live when he can live outside himself."
“I never think of the future. It comes soon enough.”

From Albert Einstein

After a good break, maybe we all need some inspiration as we return to our actual lives. I've tried to put together some fun and motivating quotations. I chose some of Einstein’s well-known quotes as a starting point. For me, he has become a model of a person who knows how to use his/her knowledge and also knows how to live. This is an ability that most people do not possess. The quotes above are proof of Einstein's wisdom. He lived his life at the same time as he used his knowledge.

“How wrong it is for a woman to expect the man to build the world she wants, rather than to create it herself.” Anais Nin (http://www.cs.virginia. edu/~robins/quotes)

And, here's some inspiration specifically for women. In our society, there are many people who think that a woman has to live out her life depending on a man. At a certain age she has to get married and have children. She has to have a family and wait on her husband. Although this idea has mostly disappeared, and women and men have started to share the responsibilities of daily life, there are still people who believe that a woman's role should be that of a housewife. As a student in a department where the majority gender is male, I am and always will be against this idea. I think that women are able to compete with men in many areas of life. Women who enjoy depending on male "strength" say that it wasn't possible for them to work, that they had to raise their children….There are lots of women who finished their higher education but never worked. Maybe they never had the opportunity, but it seems to me that they never wanted to create that opportunity. By following the traditional idea that woman's place is in the home, they lived their lives devoted to their families, which in itself is a very good thing. But still, what did they create for themselves? And another good question is, why didn't they want to share their knowledge to create a better life for everyone? Woman are as strong as males mentally, so why should they try to hide behind the fact that they are physically weaker? In my opinion, all human beings should have equal responsibilities as well as equal roles in society. So, please, let's use our knowledge to earn our own livings, rather than sit at home. Have a nice week.
