The intramural squash tournament took place on April 10-11 at the
Student Dormitories Sports Hall, with 35 matches being played.
Sinan Salih (CS/IV) took first place at the intermediate level and Eser
Karada (POLS/III) was the winner in the men's beginners category. Zeynep
Kocakavak (CTP/ 2003) won the women's event.
Zeynep, a Bilkent graduate, stated that squash is a very rewarding sport,
and a good way for women to get in shape. She noted it's not necessary
to be a professional squash player to compete in this event.
All participants received medals from Dr. Alper Uğraş, Program Director
of Tennis at the Physical Education and Sports Center.
