On April 19, the Turkish Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (TÜSİAD) organized its Third Annual Entrepreneurship Congress. The congress, which was held at the Middle East Technical University Cultural and Convention Center, aims to encourage entrepreneurship and promote economic growth. At this year’s congress, a "Business Idea Competition" for university students was held for the first time.
In the competition, projects developed by Bilkent students Yasemin Eda Erdal (MBA) and Ufuk Özden (CTP) ranked in the top 15, along with those of students from METU, Yeditepe, Yıldız Teknik, Bilgi and other universities. Yener Ergüven, a faculty member in Bilkent's Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, stated that this competition would increase participants' motivation and, in the long term, stimulate entrepreneurship and productivity.
