Student Dormitories Sports Hall Shakes with Action!

Fitness and Fun at Interval Training

The Interval Training Program, organized by the Physical Education and Sports Center, was held at the Student Dormitories Sports Hall on Tuesday, November 14. More than 100 students participated in the interval-training program and danced and exercised for one and half hours. The sports hall was rocked by the loud and energetic rhythms of the lively music, as the students exercised in a dynamic and enjoyable program. Interval Training, combining aerobics, tae-bo, step and fitness training in a social setting, was especially in demand among last semester's attendees.

Doğan Ay (MAN/III), who also participated in previous sessions, said Interval Training should be a more frequent event rather than being held once every semester, as it creates an opportunity for students to enjoy their time while improving their fitness.
Leyla Arpaç (IR/IV) who also enjoyed the program stated that Interval Training was a great way of having a full body workout with her friends that helped keep them in shape and keep healthy.

Participants also received a fruit-pack and a Bilkent University Interval Training t-shirt at the end of the program. The Physical Education and Sports Center will continue to hold similar group activities - please look for the announcements posted around campus.

Doğacan Kurucu (GIA/III)
