Conference on The Self in North American Culture

This week the Department of American Culture and Literature will be holding a conference titled "The Self in North American Culture: Comparative Perspectives." The conference will be held on Thursday, November 30, and Friday, December 1. On Thursday, the distinguished American cultural historian Elizabeth Lunbeck will be giving the keynote address, "The Americanization of Narcissism." On Friday, panels related to various topics pertinent to the self and North American culture will be held. All Bilkent faculty and students are invited to attend the conference.
