Summer in the States

Have you ever dreamed of spending a summer in the United States? Most of us have, but not many of us have lived out this dream, usually due to financial constraints. Last week, the Operational Research Club hosted a seminar, which gave information to students on how they can travel to the United States without financial worries by taking advantage of Work and Travel.

The concept behind Work and Travel is simple: University students spend a few months of their summer working in the United States. These jobs are not high paying jobs, but they are at fun places like hotels, restaurants and amusement parks. After you are done working, you have 30 days to travel wherever you want in the States using the money that you have saved while working. This program will not only help improve your English, but you will have a taste of independence and learn valuable life experience while being a part of American life.

If you're interested in this great opportunity, contact the Operational Research Club President Kutay Pınarcı at kpinarci@ug.bilkent.edu.tr   or (535) 925-4479.
