The Student Council's new Executive Committee took office on Thursday, December 14. The former Executive Committee members handed over their responsibilities to their successors during a ceremony held at the Mithat Çoruh Auditorium. The newly elected committee members, headed by President Necmi Candemir (POLS/IV), then presented their goals and plans for the 2006-2007 academic year. The committee hopes to play an important role in starting new activities for Bilkent students as well as, improving upon established ones. "During the 2006-2007 academic year, the Student Council will do its best to enhance Bilkent campus life through student clubs, social, cultural and sports activities. Our principal goal is to represent the students; so we will do our best to ensure an independent voice in the administration by considering your opinions in all matters." the new council members say.
