Pilates Master Class Was a
Success |
On Tuesday, December 19, the Student Dormitories Sports Hall hosted more
than 30 students, faculty, and staff who participated in the Pilates master class
organized by the Physical Education and Sports Center. Pilates is a method of exercise and
physical movement designed to stretch, strengthen and balance the body. Involving the
systematic practice of specific exercises coupled with focused breathing patterns, Pilates
has proven itself invaluable both as a fitness endeavor in and of itself, and also as an
important adjunct to professional sports training and physical rehabilitation of all
kinds.
The master class was given by Pilates instructor Pelin Baykal and at the end of the
program all participants received special Bilkent T-shirts.
