The Bilkent Writing Club held its second meeting on December 8 for the new members. The basic aim of the club is not "to learn how to write," but "to use writing as a means to express ourselves." The purpose of the club is to bring people together, not only to write together, but also to share what has been written and to discuss writing and to enlighten one another. They do not focus on any specific kind of writing, but have a wide perspective on writing ranging from playwrights to poems. They have reading and discussion groups for each kind of writing which you may participate in. They are also going to have workshops and seminars with the participation of Bilkent professors, and well-known Turkish writers. Currently, the club is organizing a "Film Adaptations Night" and a "Poem Day."
