Peker Açıkalın’s “Humorous” Visit to Bilkent

On March 15, a visit from Peker Açıkalın was organized by the Humour Club. As you know, Peker Açıkalın created a famous character called "Gaffur" in the series, Avrupa Yakası. He explained his character as a mirror of the Turkish public. His speech topics were based on popular and media pollution in Turkey. He stated that against popular and media pollution, the Turkish public should not be quiet; instead, we should understand how serious the problems are. Açıkalın’s humorous style was very much appreciated by the participants.
