FADA Building Part1 Why on earth do they lock the classrooms in the FADA (Faculty of Art,
Design and Architecture) building, before and after the lectures? I thought about this
issue and I have come up with a number of possible explanations. First of all, it is a
precaution against burglars. Although the burglar who intends to steal the very efficient
projector has to take a ladder with him, to do so would not be impossible. After all there
is a possibility that no one will notice a student carrying a ladder. The second step of
this robbery would be to climb the ladder and unpin the projector from the ceiling,
unnoticed. He has to bring a screwdriver with him. This is also possible. Secondly, they
may lock the doors so that the students will be fit and ready for the lecture! That is,
students are made to stand in front of the door for at least half an hour (there are no
chairs available outside the rooms so it is easier to keep up your form). The third
explanation is to foster good relationships between the students. Waiting in front of the
door is a good opportunity to keep up with the latest gossip and make new friends. As you
can see it is very useful to keep classrooms locked in order to keep the students safe,
healthy and friendly.
