Projects Providing Advantages to Alumni

BİLMED provides many advantages to Bilkent alumni.
1. Finansbank:
A Finansbank credit card with a BİLMED logo that waives the finance fee for one year is available. As you spend money, you both gain points and make donations to the association without any additional expenses.
2. Aviva: Start an individual retirement account without paying the entrance fee and fund administration expenses. As you secure your future, you will be making donations to the association with the contribution fees you pay to Aviva seasonally, without making any other extra payments from your pocket. Transfer to Aviva from another plan is free. If you are already an Aviva member, you can switch to the Aviva-BİLMED system and be exempt from your fund administration expenses.
3. Kolay Management Education Consultancy: The association provides members, their primary relatives, Bilkent University graduates and students with special discounts on applications to foreign universities, master's degrees, and certificate and language education programs. The association also entitles members to free participation in domestic education and certificate programs.
For more information about these programs please see www.bilmed.org.tr

Social Responsibility
Every year BİLMED holds out a helping hand to institutions and individuals in financial need. The latest example of this was the 10 cribs and mattresses and 3000 diapers (with the cooperation of Bilkenters at Procter and Gamble) which were donated to the Ankara Keçiören Atatürk Children's Care Center. Also, revenue from the party held in İstanbul with the collaboration of the Karaköy Rotaract Club, was used to purchase wheelchairs. Our association also helped children of the world at UNICEF's 60th anniversary and has also given a scholarship to a primary school student in Ankara.

The BİLMED Magazine
The BİLMED magazine, which has published its fourth issue and includes the activities and institutional projects of the association, is posted for free twice a year.

Meetings
Monthly meetings for Bilkent graduates are held in Ankara, İstanbul, İzmir, Bursa and Antalya. More than 15,000 alumni are informed about the meetings through an e-mail bulletin sent by www.bilmed.org.tr every 15 days. Additionally, BILMED values the suggestions and views of graduates about the association's past and possible future activities thanks to the brainstorming meetings organized annually.

We are Sensitive about Turkey's Agenda
Finally, BİLMED hosted famous names from the Turkish press and academia such as Mehmet Altan, Mithat Bereket, İbrahim Kırçova and Serdar Turan at the panel, "Turkey's Future Picture."
