From the Library

Your friends at the library wish to welcome all students, new and established, to Bilkent for another great year filled with success stories. They want to do their part in making sure that you are indeed successful. With that in mind, they are pleased to bring you great news about current library developments.

A new website will be online very soon. Through this, you will have access to a vast amount of information, and be able to perform library related procedures over the web. Of course, in order to continue to deliver the help and services you need, your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

In addition, a newspaper reading room is currently being designed. Here, you will be able to kick back and relax on comfortable sofas, and read newspapers and magazines.

Last but not least, you will soon have easy access to electronic databases and the internet at the library. Thirty two new computers will be installed in the reference and periodicals rooms to facilitate your studying and research.

But that's not all! Oh no. There is more. Remember, the library will most likely be your best friend throughout the year- a friend with the most up-to-date collections and improved services to make your life a whole lot easier come essay and exam time. New students can find the contact information for their relevant faculty librarians on the new website. Should any student need help with library related matters, they can contact their librarian directly who will be more than happy to help.

Put it on a sticky note, write it in your binder, tattoo it on your forehead, or just plain remember that your best source for academic information and services is the Bilkent University Library!
