BILWIC Supervisor Wins Award and Invites you to the Club

bilwicReyyan Ayfer, Computer Technology and Programming Department Chair and supervisor of the Bilkent University ACM-W Women in Computing (BILWIC) student chapter and club, has been chosen to receive an Anita Borg Change Agent Award in recognition of her commitment to bringing attention to the issues of women in computing in Turkey. ACM-W is the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) committee on Women in Computing. It celebrates, informs and supports women in the field, and works with the community of computer scientists, educators, employers and policy makers to improve working and learning environments for women.

reyyan ayfer BILWIC is the first international ACM-W student chapter and aims to support students by promoting activities designed to help mentor and provide role models. Club activities include seminars and conferences in order to bring students together with leaders in academic and business areas of computing. BILWIC is waiting for you to take part!
