Bilkent University’s Department of Communication and Design, together with the “Towards a Deeper Understanding of Rural Europe Project” is hosting the event “Shared Anthropology Today: Collabration and Participation in Visual Anthropology,” between May 25 and 28. This four day event includes talks, screenings and workshops on visual anthropology and documentary.
The workshop leaders are renowed academics and filmmakers David and Judith MacDougall. The event also includes the Turkish premiere of David MacDougall’s latest film “Gandhi’s Child,” as well as a number of other David and Judith MacDougall films.
During the event there will be a screening of Jean Rouch’s films, presented by Bernard Surugue, close collobrator and Vice President of the Jean Rouche Foundation.
