 On May 6, Tourism and Hotel Management Departments held their 16th Graduation Award Ceremony, at Bilkent Hotel and Conference Center. With support and presence of the tourism industry professionals, students of both THM and THS departments were recognized for their academic, social and internship achievements. After the openings speeches given by Asst. Prof. Dr. Aykut Pekcan (Acting Chair) and Mr. Kamer Rodoplu (Director) awards were presented to the students by the representatives of Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TURSAB), Turkish Hotels Federation (TÜROFED), International Association of Travel and Tourism Professionals (SKAL), HiltonSA Ankara, Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center Ankara, Bilkent Hotel and Conference Center, Swissotel Ankara, Limak Ambassadore Hotel, Sodexo, Link Bilgisayar, and Bilintur A.Ş.
This event illustrates the strong relationship between the departments and the tourism industry. It also provides a chance for tourism industry representatives to visit the department premises and enjoy a special lunch at Le Piment Rouge restaurant prior to ceremony.
From the THM department; Gökhan Altın, Melis Evin, Ayşe Serra Aktan, Başak Kızıltan, Mine Sönmez, Faruk Bostan, Sertaç Saner Geren, Mert Yıldırım and from THS Department; Didem Tepe, Burak Ali Çalışkan, Mehmet Saim Gülapoğlu, Zeynep Malatyalı and Safa Ekincioğlu were awarded for their achievements.
