The Interval Training Program - combining aerobics, Tae-Bo, step and fitness training - organized by the Physical Education and Sports Center, was held at the Student Dormitories Sports Hall, Tuesday, November 4. More than 230 students had their bodies rocked by energetic, lively music and a dynamic, enjoyable hour and a half program.
The event proved to be very popular, and feedback was positive. "Interval Training gives the chance to try different aerobic workouts. Thanks to our trainers, it was challenging and fun," commented Özgün Balaban (IAED).
"The program was entertaining and active with energetic music. We had a great time and released stress while learning aerobic and fitness programs," said İlknur Mızrak (CS). "Interval Training provides students with an enjoyable social environment," stated Ezgi Parlatır (AMER).
The fitness instructors for the event were: Ahsen Küçükdurmaz, Filiz Öztürk, Fatoş Kılıçarslan, Mert Sağlar, Özge Laçin, Fatma Öztürk, Sinem Doğu, Fırat Bingöl, Murat Duzlupınar and Volkan Karakaya
Participants received a fruit-pack and a Bilkent University Interval Training T-shirt. The Physical Education and Sports Center will continue to hold similar group activities. So check for announcements posted around campus and sent by e-mail from the Sports Center.
