How would you like a musical journey through live conferences from New York?
Those who want to enjoy music while deepening comprehension have just that opportunity this year. MSC 951 Music Appreciation by Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, a widely favored elective course among Bilkent students for many years, has been extensively updated for the 2009-2010 academic year. The class will be instructed by Columbia University Professor Dr. Walter Frisch and Dr. Onur Türkmen.
Through the New York on Air lecture system, Prof. Frisch will join live video conferences from the New York Empire States Building Bilkent Office. Dr. Frisch will introduce milestone examples of classical music repertoire in order to serve students' accomplishment of a refined reception of music. Class size is limited to 30 students and will take place on 3:40 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Mondays.
