 Ezgi Ulusoy Aranyosi, a graduate student at the Department of Turkish Literature, was invited to publish her paper, "An Enquiry into Sufi Metaphysics," in the British Journal for the History of Philosophy.
Ezgi's paper aims to examines a way of understanding Sufi metaphysics that varies from the traditional approach. She proposes an alternative viewpoint where Spinozistic ideas on God are brought to bear on Sufism. The paper is a revised version of her senior thesis, completed last spring at the Department of Philosophy. The British Journal for the History of Philosophy is ISI-indexed and widely distributed in the field of history of philosophy.
