Beşiktaş seems posh when you look at it from Barbaros. It is seen on colorfully lit shops and buildings. However, the real Beşiktaş is hiding behind these ornaments. These are just a kind of camouflage and decoration. Walking down the street when the sun goes behind the Kız Kulesi, thoughts pop into mind of how far we are from the opposite side. Life, happiness and success-just from looking at the sun that greets the city.

First you see the fishermen welcome people before entering Ihlamur. Past this point you can see the real Beşiktaş. All of the old crowded buildings look just like those in Kemal Sunal's films. We see in our imagination that a character from the movie lives there. While cruising around, it is not hard to feel the spirit of all the lives within those windows. There are children playing football while wearing the Beşiktaş jersey. Lips smile, minds probably thinking, "Everybody has become a fan of x." This is a concrete example of a common sentence. I am a fan of Beşiktaş, that makes me happy and in this great place, I am a just traveller passing through. The others are not temporarily here. They are the parts of a puzzle and stand for years.

You enter an apartment and walk up the stairs. It is narrow and the spiraling steps make you bored, but you can see the stories that happened here. It is an understanding that shows you are not in a any apartment that can be found in Bahçelievler or Ayrancı. At the end of the stairs, it is time to confront your objective in order to reach the goal. You can easily find a way to go to İstanbul if you decide you have a strong need to go. İstanbul is not a cause by itself. Football matches in the historic and scenic stadium, playing computer games with your best friend and  missing love, are all good reasons to go to İstanbul. Under these circumstances it is possible to see the huge impact of happiness on a person that is not aware of his hunger and restlessness, just waiting for a magical touch from an angel and being happy and full again.

More than one year later, there is still opportunity to meet in the same place. However, the big cause for coming to İstanbul completely overshadows the happiness possible in this place. For whom do the bells toll? This is a complete separation from the flat. On the other hand, people think that is more than leaving the flat. They are just preparing to leave behind all memories and feelings. For a moment they stopped to put stuff in boxes. You are on the narrow side of the big emotional line that separates the situation, crying or not. With eyes that are filled with tears they continue to put stuff in boxes, looking at the walls while hearts are shattering. All actions and decisions are reluctant. It is seen as a new life, experiences at the end of the tunnel.
