Nowadays, Bilkenters are stuck in heavy schedules, rushing from one seminar to another. Meanwhile midterm exams are looming, in addition to constantly increasing homework assignments and projects. Thus the Career Center's outdoor activity on March 6th was a good opportunity for those who are fed up with their hectic schedules.
As a part of Personal Development Days, the Career Center organized a tree planting in cooperation with Environmental Planning and Protection Unit on March 6th. Almost 150 students from various departments and Career Center and Environmental Planning and Protection Unit staff gathered at the East Campus Gate.
Before heading for the planting area, Kaya Ulaş, a forest engineer from Environmental Planning and Protection Unit, taught students a few basic steps in planting a tree. Afterwards, they walked to the Mezunlar Ormanı using a muddy path and every student planted their own tree according to the steps they learned earlier.
This year, the Career Center gave Bilkenters the opportunity to learn more about sectors by Sector Introduction Days, which was followed by Personal Development Days.
The Career Fair will also be held on Thursday, March 11. For more information always keep an eye on the billboards around campus and regularly check your Webmail account. Also visit: www.kariyer.bilkent.edu.tr
