The External Advisory Board of the Computer Engineering Department met on March 1, 2010. Board members shared what they expect from new graduates and computer engineers after a few years of experience in the company. They also gave information about the type of work summer trainees do in their companies. Members unanimously commented on the high quality of the education the students of the Computer Engineering Department have been receiving. The board is composed of Jale Akyel (IBM Türk), Levent Alkışlar (Aselsan), Fatih Bektaşoğlu (Garanti Teknoloji, alumnus), Tamer Eroğlu (T.C.M.B), A. Nezir Ertürk (Ayesas, alumnus), Kürşat İnce (Havelsan, alumnus), Fikret Kaya (Cybersoft), Aydın Kolat (Türkiye Bilişim Vakfı), Mehmet Tunçkanat (Microsoft Türkiye), Vedat Uslu (Siemens), and Armağan Yavuz (Taleworlds, alumnus). Faculty members and instructors of the department also joined the meeting.
