Başkent University held its second Universities Chess Team Championship from March 26 to 28. Bilkent University's chess team started at the third board, and placed second after five matches, from an unfortunate loss to the eventual winner, METU, in the final round. The team which consisted of Sarp Koç (MATH), Kudret Avcı (CHEM), Eren Bellisoy (CS), Serdar Ay (MATH), İsmail Öğüt (MATH), received medals for the second best board players.
