The Election Board met last week and approved the following calendar for elections to the
Student Executive Committees and the Student Union.
Monday, March 22 (9 a.m.) - Thursday, March 25 (4 p.m.)
Candidates for the Student Executive Committees fill in application forms and submit them to
the Office of the Dean or Director of their faculty, school, or institute.
Monday, April 5 - Wednesday, April 7
Candidates' eligibility is checked.
Monday, April 12 - Tuesday, April 13
Names of eligible candidates are announced by posting and through publication in the Bilkent
News.
Tuesday, April 20 (9 a.m.)
Election campaign begins.
Monday, April 26 (5 p.m.)
Election campaign ends.
Wednesday, April 28
Student Executive Committee elections. Counting of ballots.
Monday, May 3
Announcement of election results.
Tuesday, May 4
Student Executive Committee chairmen are elected. Each executive committee nominates a
candidate for the Student Union Executive Board and submits the candidate's name to the
respective faculty/school.
Wednesday, May 5
Student Union Executive Board election.
