Jazz Concert Touches Audience
It was a special night, one of the very few times that the sound of a saxophone has filled the air at Bilkent. The Bilkent International Student Club (BISC), with the help of Ankara Caz Derneği and BUPS Music Coordinator Alan Ginter, organized a concert last Tuesday. About 150 people shared in this beautiful music experience provided by the Mehmet Kütükçüoğlu Jazz Quartet. At first, three guitarists who were the student of Murat Arkan (electric guitar) performed a mini-concert that lasted for 15 minutes. Then Mehmet Kütükçüoğlu (tenor saxophone), Murat Arkan, Alan Ginter (contrabass) and Canan Aykent (drums) came to the stage and played for two hours.

Listening to the compositions of John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, and several others made the audience feel good - great music played by great musicians.
