What is the relationship between the words "apostate" and "faith"? Is exactly the same relationship apparent between the words "patriot" and "principle"? Such questions are probably only of interest to you if you are preparing for the Graduate Record Exam (GRE). The GRE is a requirement for graduate study at most American universities and consequently you will need to take this test in the coming academic year if you are planning to apply.
The English Language Support Unit in BUSEL is organizing a two-week introductory course for the GRE between May 31 and June 11, with a pre-course session on 25 May. The course will cover the following:
Preparation for a CBT (Computer Based Test)
Resources available on the Internet
Development of test strategies
Familiarity with the Verbal and Analytical section question types
Effective use of practice material
GRE vocabulary
Discussion of current GRE developments
The size of the class is limited and spaces will be allotted on a "first come, first served" basis. The course fee is 6 million TL.
If you are interested in registering for this course or have any questions, please contact Hülya Mıhçıoğlu at ext. 5184 by May 20.
