Nearly 400 Take the Spring Run/Walk Challenge

Spring Run/Walk participants gather for a group photo

About 400 Bilkent students, staff, administrators, and guests enjoyed a beautiful Spring Saturday on May 1 by participating in the Sports Center's annual Spring Walk/Run from the East Campus Sports Center to the Main Campus Sports Center.

All participants received t-shirts, and medals or trophies were presented to the top finishers overall and in several age categories. Results were:

Run/walkers cross the dam between East Campus and Middle Campus

Although he did not finish in the top three of his age category, Professor Bülent Bozkurt, who recently underwent bypass surgery, was an inspiration to all as he finished the course on the run, well ahead of many other competitors.
