BASSO Celebrates 75th with Concert Series As part of the 75th Anniversary celebrations, for the first time in Turkey the entire series of Beethoven concertos will be presented. The Bilkent Symphony Orchestra (BASSO) will perform the feat, a rarity anywhere in the world, with Idil Biret on the piano.and conductor Naci Özgüç. Saturday, October 31: Ludwig Van Beethoven Coriolan Overture, Op 62. C Major Piano Concerto No. 1, Op 15. G Major Piano Concerto No. 4, Op 56. Sunday, November 1: E Flat Major Piano Concerto 5, Op 73. C Minor Symphony No. 5, Op 67. Tuesday, November 3: Leonore Overture 3, Op 72A B Flat Major Piano Concerto 2, Op 19. C Minor Piano Concerto 3, Op 37. Wednesday, November 4: the opening day of the Second International Ankara Choir Festival and Competitions and Opening Ceremonies: C Minor Fantasies, Op 80 for piano, orchestra and choir. All the performances are at 9 p.m. at Bilkent University's Faculty of Music and Performing Arts. For reservations, call 266-4383.
