Career Fair on Air

You will be able to learn about jobs and internships while listening to your favorite music at the Career Fair on Friday. Radio Bilkent will broadcast live from the Career Fair site at the Main Campus Sports Center. DJs will take requests from Career Fair participants. Twenty-five major domestic and international companies plan to be on campus Friday to take part in Bilkent's Career Fair, interviewing students for internships and post-graduation jobs. Below are profiles of some of the companies and what they're expecting from you.

ACADEMY SUNLEY

Academy International is the representative in Turkey of Sunley Management Center, a training and consultancy firm affiliated with University College of Northampton in England. We offer training and consultancy services to universities and companies in the private and public sector. Some of our focus areas are training programs in the stock market, financial resources, and foreign trade.

ALCATEL

Alcatel is a telecommunications company with career and training opportunities in Turkey for graduating students. At the Fair we will be talking about our company and introducing our products. We will also try to connect Bilkent students with other Alcatel branches around the globe.

Bayındır Holding started its management trainee programs in 1998. With a view to recruiting new graduates from leading universities in Turkey, we give two months of training for prospective managers. Devlet Planlama Teşkilatı

Devlet Planlama Teşkilatı (State Planning Organization) was established in September, 1960 in order to contribute to the economic and socio-cultural development of Turkey through the preparation of development plans.

DPT has four main functions: 1) To determine short and long term strategies for Turkey by preparing plans on a yearly and five-yearly basis (currently, we are working on our eighth 5-year development plan); 2) To develop economic, social, and cultural policy proposals; 3) To evaluate investment proposals and provide funding to public sector projects; 4) To facilitate coordination among organizations and sectors within Turkey.
