Students Go to Kaynaşlı Center
Last week, a group of volunteers, including physical education instructors Sabri Kaya and Yıldıray Kanat, went to Kaynaşlı. We brought along two questionnaires, with a view to arranging activities in the Center for Social Work and Education according to the needs and desires of the Kaynaşlı residents. The Kaynaşlı people were very cheerful and friendly towards us, and took the time to answer our questions. However, they seemed somewhat distrustful since they have been promised help many times before, but nothing has materialized. Their wishes were mostly for their children; they wanted their children to participate in the activities of the center, especially the computer and English courses.

After analyzing the questionnaire results in detail, a list of the kinds of activities of most use for the Kaynaşlı residents and their children will be published. You too can help these people by volunteering at the center, and prove that not all promises are made to be broken.

To work as a volunteer in the Center for Social Work and Education in Kaynaşlı, apply to Ayşın Gürbüz (ext: 2483/ ggurbuz@bilkent.edu.tr) at the Dean of Students' Office. The giving of your time and energy will mean a lot to the people of Kaynaşlı.
