At the National Inter-University Men's and Women's Ski Championship, held in Palandöken, Erzurum from March 1 to 5, the Bilkent University Women's ski team won the silver medal for finishing second out of 18 teams.
In doing so, some of our women skiers achieved personal bests. From among the 46 women contestants, individually Melis Başar finished 3rd, Selen Eşit finished 5th, and Aylin Hazan finished 8th. The team's combined finishes put them just behind the University of Niğde, the first place winners.
The Bilkent Men's team also took part in the championship and finished a respectable 6th from among 19 university teams.
The members of the women's team are Selen Eşit, Melis Başar, Aylin Hazan, and Zeynep Gözüm. The members of the men's team are Çağrı Bulhaz, Kamer Özaydan, Soydan Çığşar, and Can Ediger.
