Prospective Teachers Receive Training in Top High Schools
Özlem Varınlı, teaching the heart to lise students at the American Collegiate Institute Students from the Graduate School of Education have spent two weeks fully participating in the life of Robert College in İstanbul and the American Collegiate Institute in İzmir as part of their teacher training experience.

During the two weeks, the students experienced the ethos of the school, interacted with highly qualified and experienced teachers, observed different teaching styles, and gathered valuable resource materials for lessons and approaches to curriculum. By the middle of the first week, the Bilkent students were teaching parts of lessons under the guidance of their mentors. From the end of the first week they were solely responsible for teaching entire lessons. They also had the opportunity to attend extra-curricular activities and meetings.

The Graduate School of Education will be accepting new students in the program for the Fall 2001 semester beginning May 21. For details regarding the requirements call ext. 2950 or send e-mail to teached@bilkent.edu.tr.
