In the Second Annual Turkish University Sports Games, held recently at a number of universities in Ankara including Bilkent, Bilkent University varsity teams made a fine showing in several of the events while demonstrating a keen competitive spirit combined with a sense of fair play in them all.

Notable results came from the men's and women's bowling teams, both of which captured first place in the games; the fencing team, which occupied 4th place in the epee event; the women's swim team, which finished 8th out of 23 universities; and the STEP team, which took 4th place from among 12 universities. In addition, the women's soccer (football) team was given a Fair-Play Award for its sportsmanlike behavior on the field. Although not everyone came away with prizes, all the athletes were winners through their participation and contribution to the friendly atmosphere in which the games took place.
