15:47 15.05.2000Second year students from Bilkent's Department of Graphic Design had a great success. They were the winners in the poster competition organized by the Ministry of Health with the theme of "Sigarasız Temiz Bir Dünya" (Clean World without Cigarettes).
The award ceremony will be held on May 31 which is "World Non-Smoking Day." Prize-winning students are as follows: İrem Mangıtlı (1st Prize), Ertuğ Erinç Göktaş (2nd Prize), Halime Fişenk (3rd Prize), Banu Yamak (Honorable Mention), Emre Güven (Honorable Mention), and Duygu Taş (Honorable Mention).
Also, the winners of the Poster Design Competition organized by the Bilkent University Traffic Committee were announced in a ceremony at the Spring Fest. The theme for this year's competition was "Respect on the Roads."
The first place prize of a personal computer went to Barış Atiker (GRA/IV). The second prize of a bicycle was won by Bülent Yılmaz (MATH/III). Kemal Selvi (MATH/III) and Ozan Başaran (MBA) received special mention. Look for the winning poster on bulletin boards around campus.
