Deep Blue Awaiting You
Do you want to discover the mysteries of the underwater world? Are you fascinated when you watch documentaries or movies on diving? You can start scuba diving now! BILSAT, Bilkent Su Altı Sporları Topluluğu (Bilkent Underwater Society) is an active club that has helped many students to fulfill that dream.

Every semester, BILSAT arranges open water scuba diving courses at beginners level. The courses are certified by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI). The class consists of theory and about four hours of practice in a pool. After the course, there is a tour for students to join and explore the sea from a diver's perspective.

Each term, people have the chance to join at least three trips to go diving in Bodrum, Marmaris, Kaş, or Kemer. Diving in summer offers warm sunny waters to explore. Winter diving is different, and absolutely wonderful as the sea offers you a complete peace and pleasure when you are tired of the city traffic and noise.

Scuba diving is not dangerous as long as you learn and follow the rules of the sport (e.g., check your equipment before diving, do not go deeper than your safe limit, always check the gage to know the air level in your tank, etc.). Considering that there is no risk of shark attacks in Turkish waters, you will find that scuba diving is very safe!

Only one-third of the earth is covered with land. You are missing two-thirds of the earth's nature! Diving gives you a different dimension on life, and you sense the world in a different way. Once you go down in the deep blue sea, you may find that you do not want to come up. Join BILSAT and become a part of this magnificent world!
