Tuesday, October 19, 4 p.m.: "Culture, Commerce, and the Customer: Why the World has Preferred What's Made in America" by Professor Richard H. Pells from University of Texas, at FHL building in room A130.

In Greek Archaelogy

Two lectures on ancient Greek archaeology in the Black Sea area will be given by Dr. Gocha Tsetskhladze, who teaches in the Department of Classics at the University of London. Dr. Tsetskhladze is a leading scholar in the field and is currently supervising an excavation at a major ancient Greek city in Russia near the Black Sea.

The seminars are as follows:

    Tuesday, October 19, 5:30 p.m.: "Berezan: The First Greek Colony in the Northern Black Sea"

    Thursday, October 21, 5:30 p.m.: "The Asiatic Boshporus: The Taman Peninsula and its Metropolis, Phanagoria, in Antiquity."
