Teachers' Day is celebrated on November 24 throughout Turkey.
Bilkent University's new Graduate School of Education will also be celebrating Teachers' Day, starting with a moment of silence and a commemoration of Atatürk as 'Master Teacher' at the university's Atatürk Monument. There will also be a talk given by Orhan Özalp, Talim ve Terbiye Kurulu Başkanı (Head of the Board of Education) entitled Türk Eğitim Sisteminde Talim ve Terbiye Kurulu'nun Rolü ve Öğretmen Niteliği. All student-teachers in the Master's Program in Teacher Education will have the chance to attend and the public is welcome. The talk will be at 2:30 p.m. at FEASS, C Blok Auditorium.
