Ten students from BUPS/BIS travelled to Zurich, Switzerland in November to participate in the annual ISST Boys' Volleyball Tournament. Along with BUPS/BIS, teams from Germany, Switzerland, and Israel, competed in this six team tournament.
The team members played very well in the round robin portion of the tournament, finishing with a record of 4-1. As a result, they advanced to the Championship Final to play against a very strong, experienced and older team from Dusseldorf, Germany.
In a very close and competitive match, BUPS/BIS lost to the Dusseldorf squad by a score of 3 sets to 1, finishing in 2nd place out of the 6 teams. Despite this, the tournament was a huge success for the boys. They impressed everyone with their teamwork, skill level, enthusiasm and sportsmanship and will definitely be the 'team to beat' next year.
