Bilkent University participated in the Second University Winter Festival held in the city of Akşehir from January 26 to February 4. Students from many universities attended stimulating programs including concerts; lectures and discussions; exhibits of photography, Japanese handiwork, and industrial design; competitions in basketball and chess; and demonstrations of taekwondo and ballroom dancing.

Members of Radio Bilkent, the Chess Club, and Asuman Erbay, the coordinator of the Student Union, attended the events of the opening weekend. Radio Bilkent DJs made broadcasts on Saturday and Sunday, and organized a party in Akşehir on Saturday night. Oğuz Günaybakkal took third place in the five-day chess competition. The Bilkent participants had a great experience!
