Study Turkish As a Second Language
Whether you have just arrived or have been at Bilkent University for a few semesters, it is never too late to begin studying Turkish or improve your skills. While communication with students and faculty can be conducted in English, it is always helpful to be able to speak the language of the country in which you are living.

Bilkent University offers a variety of Turkish language courses without charge to faculty, students and their families. The courses are offered through the Faculty of Humanities and Letters. Information and registration applications can be obtained in room Z-16 of the Faculty of Humanities and Letters building. Registration for spring semester courses is from February 5 through 8, and classes begin on Monday, February 12. Three levels of Basic Turkish, two levels of Intermediate Turkish, and an Advanced Reading and Speaking course are all currently scheduled for the Spring semester.

For further information contact Ms. Nurdane Mumcu Öz or Tülin Pehlivanlı by phone at ext. 1935 or by e-mail at onurdane@bilkent.edu.tr or tulinp@bilkent.edu.tr.
