The Way to Go
Good news from Bilkent Go Club! Kerem Karaerkek, a well-known Go player and president of the Turkish Go Association (Go Oyuncuları Derneği), has agreed to teach Go to Bilkent students. Karem Karaerkek studied Go in Japan.

Go is an ancient Chinese board game that is played all over the world, however it is not yet well-known in Turkey. It is a game of strategy where two players compete in acquiring the most territory by placing stones on a board with a grid drawn on it. Each player then attempts to capture the opponent’s stones by encircling them.

There will be a meeting for all students interested in learning Go on Thursday, February 15 at 5:45 p.m. in the Student Union, room Z-24. The time of the classes will be scheduled at the meeting. Participants will have a chance to become members of the Turkish Go Association. Go for it!
