Non-Credit Japanese Courses Begin
A non-credit Japanese course for beginners will start on February 26, 2001. It is free and open to Bilkent University students and staff. The class will meet two hours per week. Saeko Ohashi, the instructor, will emphasize speaking ability in the course, although she can also teach the writing system if the class is interested. Class size is small, so there will be plenty of individualized attention.

As incentive to advanced speaking students, the Japanese Embassy sponsors a speech contest each year. First place is awarded a two-week trip to Japan. If you have been thinking of visiting Japan, now is the time to prepare for the trip.

Applications for the course can be obtained from Saeko Ohashi in FHL, room Z-34B. For further information, contact Ms. Ohashi at ext. 2755, or by e-mail: saeko@bilkent.edu.tr.
